The Animal/Body Talk System Body Talk is effective for balancing and re-establishing the communication systems of your horse’s body with her/his mind. Body Talk can be used to complement other animal health practices by addressing conditions, such as, emotional and behavioral challenges. Yes, animals, just like people, have emotional and behavioral issues in life.
Also, like people, animals have the ability to heal themselves guided by inner wisdom. In the wild, animals generally do not have the hindrance of belief systems and exaggerated emotions that delay healing. It is the instinctual nature and wisdom of healing that has perpetuated this species.
Domesticated animals differ in many ways from those in the wild. Animals who have been in interaction with humans can become sensitive to the belief systems and emotions of the humans with whom they most interact.
“What does this have to do with my animal companion”, you might be wondering? “My animal companion is just fine. My animal companion communicates with me all the time through sounds and movements. I know my animal companion.” Yes, this is true, to a limited degree, but, just like people, we always “think” we “know” a partner, offspring or close friend. Yet, we have all been surprised and dismayed when some behavior, emotion or health concern erupts that we never expected. However, there are usually very subtle messages and warnings that are detectable by the practitioner trained in Body Talk. Symptoms can manifest as behavioral issues, emotional disorders and physical challenges that are not yet apparent during daily interaction.
This information is directed specifically for animal companions, which we all realize, have been in close interaction with humans for a long time however, it is true for all animals. They are now able to take on the problems, issues, etc. of the humans, and other animals they are around and manifest illnesses as a result. Your animal companions can learn attitudes and behaviors and experience pathological emotions that affect his/her health and healing as well as and fulfillment of potential abilities.
Wild Animals are free to roam the countryside, eat when they want, etc. Take that same animal and put them in an enclosed space. What do you think may happen physically and emotionally?
Now take a animal companion that has been born and raised already in that enclosed space. Do you think that physical and emotional stresses will not arise due to being in an enclosed space? Yes, for that animal companion, there may be stresses around being enclosed simply for the fact that their instincts yearn to roam. Domesticating animals did not change their natural instincts.
What can I expect? The BodyTalk practitioner will use a surrogate for locating the priority in your animal companion. A priority is an imbalance or under-communicating, the priority is found using a pre-set protocol. When a priority is found a tapping technique and with various hand positions are usually used to re-connect and balance the compromised links, this too is done on the animal companions' surrogate.
